St. Thomas Public School, Muvattupuzha was founded in the year 1991. It is established and administrated by St. Thomas Educational and Charitable Trust, Muvattupuzha. The School is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. It is located in Muvattupuzha Municipal area on a small hill, serene and conducive to education. It is close to NH 49 Kochi-Madhurai Hill highway. The major objective of this Institution is to educate the youth in a spirit of service to humanity. Its priorities in education are not only scholastic excellence, but also formation of youth in discipline, hard work, moral and religious values. These priorities are meant to prepare the youth for life by promoting intellectual excellence, uprightness of character, emotional maturity, scientific temper, spirit of healthy competition, co-operation and sportsmanship through co-curricular activities, moral sensitivity to the needs and rights of others especially the poor, religious tolerance and national integration. The school has spacious class rooms, labs and a well organised library. A holistic approach, to education with the child at the centre aimed at development of the multifarious faculties, is the fundamental aim of STPS. The market driven economy of the world of today needs a variety of skills for the development of the future citizens with aggressive personality, to be responsive and responsible to the society at large.
